Twelve market operators, fifteen butcher shops, and fifty restaurants: Meat in Milan 2027 tells the story of the city’s supply chain and gastronomic culture. Among the addresses selected in the publication are two restaurants from the Milano Restaurant Group.
Where to find meat, how to choose it, and where to enjoy it: these questions gave rise to Meat in Milan 2027 – The Milan Meat Market Guide, a publication created by Sogemi, a company owned by the Municipality of Milan, and released in October 2026.
In its first edition, the guide aims to be a practical tool for getting to know the world of meat more closely, from the supply chain to the table. Its pages travel through the Milan Meat and Gastronomy Market, recounting its history, organization, and role in food distribution, before offering a look at the city’s restaurants, butcher shops, and markets.
The project brings together 12 market operators, 15 butcher shops, and 50 restaurants, offering a detailed overview of the businesses and professionals that contribute to Milanese gastronomic culture. Alongside the addresses, there are in-depth features, testimonials, and recipes, with a focus on the quality of raw materials, food safety, and conscious product choices.
The guide also dedicates a part of its narrative to the historical and social value of the food market, understood not only as a place of commercial exchange but as a meeting point for producers, operators, and consumers.
Two MRG restaurants among the guide’s addresses
Within this journey, there is also space for Osteria delle Corti, on page 100, and Cantina della Vetra, on page 56, two Milano Restaurant Group establishments that interpret Italian cuisine through different identities while maintaining a link with Milanese gastronomic tradition.

Osteria delle Corti: Milanese cuisine classics
A presence in the Milanese dining scene for over thirty years, Osteria delle Corti offers genuine and refined cuisine in a warm and welcoming environment. The menu pairs great Meneghino classics with traditional Italian and Mediterranean dishes, with attention to seasonality and raw materials.
Cotoletta, ossobuco, and rib-eye steak represent some of the restaurant’s meat offerings. The guide also features a recipe that combines a grilled preparation with a contemporary accompaniment: grilled cockerel with BBQ sauce and potato chips.
Cantina della Vetra: Meneghino tradition at the table
Just a few steps from the Colonne di San Lorenzo and Porta Ticinese, Cantina della Vetra interprets the conviviality of the trattoria through the flavors of Italian and Milanese cuisine.
Risotto alla milanese, ossobuco, riso al salto, and golden costoletta tell the story of a tradition that continues to be a protagonist of the restaurant’s gastronomic offering. The recipe chosen for the guide is veal kidney on risotto alla milanese, a dish that pairs a meat preparation with one of the symbols of Meneghino cuisine.
Milanese gastronomic culture, between supply chain and dining
The presence of Osteria delle Corti and Cantina della Vetra in Meat in Milan 2027 is part of a broader project dedicated to showcasing the various professionals and businesses that revolve around the culture of meat.
For Milano Restaurant Group, it is an opportunity to give visibility to the work of its restaurants and the different interpretations of tradition, through dishes that are part of the city’s gastronomic history and continue to find a place in contemporary cuisine.
